Model Import

Interior Design PRO supports importing 3D models from leading 3D models websites. This feature is available for users with a Interior Designer PRO subscription plan.

Supported file formats are:

  • GL Transmission Format (.gltf)
  • Collada (.dae)

Importing Through Interior Design Pro

Interior Design PRO has a built-in browser, that allows to quickly find and import model that you want:

  1. Tap “Import Models”.
  2. In the opened browser you can choose to access models in Sketchfab, 3D Warehouse, or Fab.
  3. If using Sketchfab or 3D Warehouse, you will need to sign up for a free account or log in to an existing account. If using Fab, no account is needed.
  4. Find a model in “Downloadable” category.
  5. Tap Download.
  6. For Sketchfab and Fab choose the glTF file download format. For 3D Warehouse choose the Collada (dae) file download format.
  7. Import Model dialog will open.
  8. Wait for download to be finished, give model a name and you’re done.

Importing Model File from Device

You can also import Collada and .gltf files straight from your iPad, iPhone and Mac.

Importing a model from device:

  1. Find the desired file on your device.
  2. Long tap on the file icon
  3. Tap “Share”, choose “Open in Interior Design PRO”
  4. The model will be opened in Interior Design PRO– give it a name and you’re done.
