Model Import

Interior Design PRO supports importing 3D models from leading 3D models websites. This feature is available for users with a Interior Designer PRO subscription plan.

Supported file formats are:

  • GL Transmission Format (.gltf)
  • Collada (.dae)

Interior Design PRO has a built-in browser, that allows to quickly find and import model that you want:

  1. Tap “Import Models”
  2. In the opened browser you can switch between Sketchfab and 3D Warehouse
  3. Find a model in “Downloadable” category
  4. Tap Download
  5. Choose Autoconverted format (glTF)
  6. Import Model dialog will open
  7. Wait for download to be finished, give model a name and you’re done.

Also you can use Safari or any other browser to download new models.

Importing a model from 3DWarehouse:

  1. Open 3dwarehouse.sketchup.com on your iPad/iPhone Safari browser.
  2. Find needed model
  3. Tap Download
  4. Choose “Collada File”
  5. Open “Downloads”
  6. Long tap on downloaded archive
  7. Tap “Share”, choose “Open in Interior Design PRO”
  8. The model will be opened in Interior Design PRO– give it a name and you’re done.

Importing a model from SketchFab:

  1. Open sketchfab.com on your iPad/iPhone Safari browser.
  2. Register/Login to SketchFab (It’s free)
  3. Find a model in “Downloadable” category
  4. Tap Download
  5. Choose Autoconverted format (glTF)
  6. Open “Downloads”
  7. Long tap on downloaded archive
  8. Tap “Share”, choose “Open in Interior Design PRO”
  9. The model will be opened in Interior Design PRO – give it a name and you’re done.
